Nectar Catering and Events story begins in 2009 with the creation of Just a Couple of Moms Catering. Kathleen White and her business partner Kathy began cooking for friends and colleagues events with rave reviews. They formalized their business and the journey began. Over the years the company has created unforgettable experiences for brides, corporate events, parties, and just about every type of gathering you can think of.

Nectar Tasting Room opened in 2011 as a co-op of 5 Washington wineries. Owner Josh Wade started his business journey with a blog, drinknectar.com, and grew a large following using social media tools and strategies. Visitors to the tasting room can learn about and taste wines from Washington wineries or enjoy a glass or bottle with appetizers from Just a Couple of Moms Catering
In 2013, after three consecutive awards from Catalyst Business Magazine the White’s moved operations to the basement of the 1889 building downtown and became the official caterer for Nectar Tasting Room’s ever growing event demands. The White’s continued to expand operations and staff while increasing their reputation for quality food and impeccable service.
In 2015 “the moms” approached Josh with a business opportunity to buy the catering company. They were moving to warmer weather and wanted to see the continued success of the company they created. Josh purchased the company in 2015 and learned the ropes of catering both large and small events.
Nectar is such a beautiful place to host an event. I chose Nectar because the location is central and the decor is so amazing that I didn’t even have to decorate!
Fast Forward to Now
Two companies become one. Seeing the increasing synergy between catering and the event business at Nectar, along with brand continuity, Nectar Tasting Room and Just a Couple of Moms combine to become Nectar Catering and Events. Two strong companies with a history of award winning service and community involvement come together to provide you full service catering and event coordinating for all of your upcoming event and party needs.
